We're excited to share the story behind one of our songs with you. Most of you voted on Instagram for “Man in the Rain,” so let’s dive into its heartfelt origin.

“Man in the Rain” was the first song we wrote together and holds a special place in our hearts. Before Parlura came to life, Lena was pouring her heart into poems written in German. Her writing was deeply personal, reflecting her own journey of self-discovery and growth.

In 2016 Lena traveled to Sri Lanka where, she met a British man whose story left a lasting impression on her. He had reached a turning point in his life, realizing that his current path wasn’t bringing him happiness. With incredible courage, he made the bold decision to sell his apartment, quit his job, and set out on a journey through Sri Lanka and other countries to rediscover himself and find true meaning in his life.

His bravery and willingness to embrace change inspired Lena far-reaching. She was moved by how he stepped into the unknown, driven by the desire to live a life true to himself. To honor his journey and to support him, Lena penned the chorus of “Man in the Rain.” The lyrics were a tribute to his courage and a reflection of her own aspirations for growth and transformation.

When he read her words, he was thrilled and shared how they gave him strength and reassurance that he was on the right path. This moment was a powerful reminder of how music and words can inspire and uplift us during our most challenging times.

With Jakob’s encouragement, Lena expanded the chorus into a full song, while he composed the beautiful instrumentals that brought it to life. “Man in the Rain” became a celebration of personal growth and the courage it takes to pursue a life that truly aligns with who we are.
